Drop-in Support for Clinicians: the L.A. Wildfires and Other Climate Catastrophes

  • Climate Psychology Alliance North America , Ltd. USA (map)

In the aftermath of the recent L.A. wildfires and the psychological toll they have taken, the Clinical Support Committee is organizing a drop-in support meeting for clinician members who have been affected by these or other climate disasters directly or indirectly. This informal group will provide a space for psychotherapists to come together to share how we are doing in the face of increasingly frequent and unfolding climate and environmental catastrophes, including what is it like to hold the emotions of clients while struggling with our own distress, as well as what we all need to foster our own emotional sustainability in doing this work.
