Join the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America for a 1-hour event on October 26 at 1 PM ET for the third installment in our Fall ’24 Planting the Future Fundraiser Distinguished Speaker’s Series - an exciting and inspiring workshop, interview and Question and Answer session with Sarah Jaquette Ray, for practical tips for therapists and faculty working with young adults who are awakening to the climate crisis.   Tickets are available at four levels (seed, sprout, branch, and tree) from $25 - $100, with a limited number of reduced rate tickets available on a first-come-first- serve basis. Registrants at the $100 level will receive a free copy of Sarah’s newest book, co-authored with Jennifer Atkinson: The Existential Tool Kit for Climate Educators: How To Teach In a Burning World.

Meet Sarah

Dr. Sarah Jaquette Ray works at the intersection of social justice and climate emotions. Sarah is the author of The Ecological Other: Environmental Exclusion in American Culture (Arizona, 2013 and A Field Guide to Climate Anxiety: How to
Keep Your Cool on a Warming Planet (California, 2020), which is packed with mental health tools for the “climate generation” . Sarah is also co-editor of four additional collections within the cross section of mental health, humanities, decolonizing theory and climate justice.  Sarah is also a certified mindfulness teacher through the UCLA Mindfulness Awareness Research Center.
