Join CIIS’ Climate Psychology Certificate co-creators and renowned climate psychology educators Leslie Davenport and Barbara Easterlin for an interactive workshop for therapists, healers, and allied professionals that addresses the growing mental health impacts of the climate emergency.

Barbara and Leslie share approaches rooted in climate justice that recognize the deep entanglement of environmental issues with social and racial harms. In this workshop the skills offered can be incorporated in a variety of settings for working therapeutically with the lived experiences of eco-anxiety, eco-grief, and many expressions of climate-invoked dread. Supportive skills shared in this workshop include highlighting resilience, encouraging activism, self-regulation, and community support development. Key climate psychology terms and concepts will be explored, including unconscious processes that underlie our thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors about sustainability.

Both days of this workshop will include lectures with PowerPoint, experiential learning including breakout rooms, and time for questions and discussion.
