Psychology for a Resilient Future: Adaptation, Mitigation, and Coping in a Changing World

Join us as we explore the latest insights from environmental, population, and conservation psychology. This year's conference theme is "Psychology for a Resilient Future: Adaptation, Mitigation, and Coping in a Changing World."

All programming will be live streamed with interactive sessions and opportunities to network with others. Whether you are a student, an academic, a research scientist, clinician, or practitioner, we hope you'll join the conversation!

Talks are organized around five themes:

  • Activism and Engagement (policy support, policy-maker decision-making, motivators of civic action, collective action, systems change)

  • Innovative Methods for Human-Environment Research (novel methods, study design, mixed methods)

  • Individual, Structural, and Organizational Change (behavior change, uptake of new behaviors, changes at different societal levels

  • Resilience, Health, and Well-being (impacts of climate change on mental and physical health, community resilience, individual coping, risk assessment)

  • Technology and Design (urban design, architecture, carbon dioxide removal, energy, technology adoption)

Registration Fees

Registration fees are $35 for students and $95 for professionals. Registration is open July 10 to September 19, 2024. You do not need to be a member of the American Psychological Association or Division 34 to attend. However, we encourage you to use this opportunity to stay connected with our community by renewing your division membership.

Conference Platform

The conference will be hosted on Airmeet, and sessions will be recorded in case you have a time conflict. We will send instructions for accessing the platform the week before the conference.
